Red Velvet Christmas Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted 3 times
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. red cake coloring
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cream the Crisco.
Add sugar and vanilla; beat.
Put cocoa and salt in cake coloring and make a paste.
Add to mixture.
Add flour and buttermilk (alternate).
Put soda in vinegar; add to mixtures.
Mix well.
Bake in three 8-inch layers for 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
