Cherry Nut Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. red food coloring
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add shortening and buttermilk.
    Add eggs.
    Add vanilla and food coloring.
    Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Cool and frost.
