Lemon Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted cake flour
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3 egg whites
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon or vanilla flavoring
1/4 to 1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
3 egg yolks
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Put flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon salt into small bowl.
Add egg whites and beat on #10 speed until stiff (about 1/2
minute).
Beat in 1/4 cup sugar.
Beat only until soft peaks are formed.
Add milk, flavoring and shortening; beat on #2 speed.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
