Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 lb. ground beef (optional)
Preparation
    Mix corn meal, salt and soda.
    Add milk and stir.
    Then add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Pour in bacon drippings and beat.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Stir and bake in an iron skillet for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
