Scotch Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix together dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening until crumbly.
    Add enough buttermilk to make a soft dough.
    Divide into 3 portions and roll each into a circle on a floured surface.
    Cut into 4 wedges.
    Bake on griddle or electric skillet preheated to 350\u00b0.
    Bake on each side until golden brown.
