Ingredients

1 Tbsp. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. (No. 2 can) white Royal Anne seeded cherries, drained
1 c. (heaping) flour
3 tsp. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg, cherries, flour, water and soda, vanilla and pecans.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9-inch pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cut into 9 pieces.
Top with sweetened whipped cream.
