Black Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. black beans
    1 onion, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    sprig of parsley
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    chopped onion, parsley, chives or cucumber for garnish
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight; to same water add onion, bayleaf and parsley.
    Bring to boil and cook until tender.
    Cook green pepper and garlic until soft.
    Add to beans with other ingredients and cook until thickened.
    Pour in dry sherry and serve with garnish sprinkled on top.
    One cup equals 250 calories.
