Pecan Balls - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. soft butter
2 c. finely chopped pecans
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except confectioners sugar. Mix well until thoroughly blended. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Roll dough into balls, 1 1/4-inches in diameter. Place 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes, until cookies are set, but not brown. Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack; cool slightly. Roll on sugar while still warm. Cool completely. Freezes well.
