Healthy Granola - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. oats (rolled, instant or quick)
    1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
    1 1/2 c. wheat germ
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar or honey
    1/2 c. each: walnuts and slivered almonds
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. diced dates
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients well; mix together the water, oil, vanilla (and honey, if used) and add to the dry ingredients.
    Bake in a large 10 x 14-inch loaf cake pan in 275\u00b0 oven for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes.
    Add the raisins and dates last 20 minutes.
