Chicken Tikka - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. plain yogurt
1 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. ginger powder or paste
2 tsp. garam masala powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red food coloring
3 lb. chicken, cut into 2 1/2-inch pieces
juice of 1 lemon
salad or olive oil
Preparation

Mix yogurt with chili powder, ginger, garlic, garam masala, salt and red food coloring.
Pour over chicken pieces and mix well.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix well.
Line the broiler pan with baking foil.
Arrange chicken pieces on top.
Brush with oil and broil then for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
Brush with oil occasionally and continue cooking until chicken is tender. Serve with wedges of lemon and a crisp lettuce salad.
