Light 'N Fruity Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) Jell-O gelatin
    2/3 c. boiling water
    2 c. ice cubes
    3 1/2 c. thawed Cool Whip
    1 c. diced fresh or canned fruit, drained and diced
    9-inch graham cracker crumb crust
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, stirring about 3 minutes. Add ice cubes, 1 or 2 at a time, and stir constantly until gelatin is thickened, about 2 or 3 minutes.
    Remove any unmelted ice. Using wire whip or fork, blend Cool Whip.
    Whip until smooth. Fold in fruit.
    Place fruit on top of pie, if desired.
    Spoon into pie crust.
    Chill 2 hours.
