Squash Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 yellow squash, sliced
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. pepper
    5 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1/2 tsp. celery salt
    1 c. toasted bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    3 zucchini squash, sliced
    1 tsp. salt
4 to 5 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. chicken soup base
    2 to 2 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. crushed soda crackers
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
Simmer both squash in shortening 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add salt, pepper,
    onion,
    parsley,
soup base, celery salt, water and mix well.
    Simmer 5 minutes more.
Add bread crumbs, soda crackers and
    cornmeal.
    Mix
    well.
    Add
    the
    beaten
    eggs, stirring fast (or
    the
egg whites will cook and you will have white pieces
    in your dressing).
Cook a little more to thicken.
    Also taste
to see if you need more of the ingredients or to add a
    little
more water if the dressing is too dry.
    Put into a baking
    dish
and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 20 minutes to set and
    have
    a
    nice
    light brown
    color
    like your chicken dressing has.
