Spiced Oranges - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 navel oranges
    1 pt. white vinegar
    8 1/2 c. sugar
    2 to 3 cinnamon sticks
    2 Tbsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Cut oranges into 1/4-inch slices.
    Simmer in water to cover for 1 1/2 hours.
    Drain well.
    Combine vinegar, sugar, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a large pan.
    Bring to boil; boil 5 minutes. Add orange slices; boil until clear, about 1/2 hour.
    Good served with turkey, pork or lamb.
