Southerland Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. white Karo
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine sugar, milk, Karo, oleo and soda in pan.
    Place over medium heat, stirring gently until sugar dissolves.
    Cook to soft boil stage at 238\u00b0 on candy thermometer and remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and beat until creamy.
    Stir in pecans.
    Drop from spoon on wax paper.
    Yield:
    3 dozen.
