Sicilian Tuna Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 tuna steaks*
    2 chopped onions
    3 to 4 c. canned whole tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    5 fresh basil leaves or 1 tsp. dried basil
    1/3 c. capers, rinsed and drained
    6 oz. pitted black olives, halved
Preparation
    In large skillet or Dutch oven, saute the onions in hot oil until soft but not brown.
    Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, basil, capers and olives.
    Cover; simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.
    Add tuna steaks; poach, covered, for about 5 minutes on each side. Serve tuna with sauce spooned over it.
    Serves 4.
