Quick English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation

Sprinkle pecans at the bottom of a buttered 9-inch pie plate. Melt 1/2 cup butter in saucepan, add sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches 290\u00b0 (hard crack stage).
Pour toffee over nuts.
Sprinkle chocolate pieces over the top.
When chocolate is melted, spread with a spatula.
Cool. Refrigerate and break into pieces.
