Fruit Whip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. lime juice
    1 tsp. grated lime rind
    3/4 c. fruit cocktail syrup
    1/2 c. sugar
    almond extract
    1 c. chilled evaporated milk
    1 1/2 cans fruit cocktail, drained
    ladyfingers
Preparation
    Soften the gelatin in the lime juice.
    Combine lime rind, syrup, sugar, salt and gelatin in a saucepan and heat, stirring until gelatin is dissolved.
    Blend in several drops of almond extract.
    Then chill until slightly thickened.
    Whip evaporated milk in a chilled bowl until light and fluffy and fold in gelatin mixture.
    Fold in fruit cocktail and chill until partially set. Line serving dish with ladyfingers and spoon fruit mixture into dish.
    Chill several hours and garnish with other fruits.
