Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium apples
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut apples into small slices; cook with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
    Set aside.
    Mix eggs, one at a time, with remaining ingredients.
    Makes a thick cookie dough type batter.
    Grease and lightly flour a tube pan.
    Pour 1/2 of the batter into the pan; pour apples on top of batter, then add the other half of the batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour and 15 minutes.
