Caramel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. white Karo
    2 c. nuts (if desired)
    1 1/2 sticks oleo (3/4 c.)
    2 cans Carnation milk
Preparation
    Mix sugar, oleo, Karo and 1 can of milk.
    Boil slowly and steadily.
    Add second can of milk (add slowly).
    Stir constantly. Cook 1 hour or until it forms a firm ball in water.
    Stir in chopped nuts, if desired.
    Pour in flat pan or on platter greased with oleo.
    When cold, cut and wrap.
