Cheddar Spoonbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 c. oleo
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation

Scald milk.
Slowly sprinkle cornmeal over milk, stirring constantly.
Continue cooking and stirring over low heat until mixture has thickened (5 to 10 minutes).
Add cheese, oleo, salt and sugar.
Stir until cheese and oleo are melted.
Stir in eggs; mix well.
Pour into a 1 1/2-quart greased baking dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes or until firm.
Serve immediately.
