Hamburg Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained
    4 c. water
    2 beef flavored bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 to 1 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    3/4 c. sliced celery
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 c. medium egg noodles, uncooked
    1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
Preparation
    Cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain on paper towel.
    Discard pan drippings.
    Add next 8 ingredients; bring to boil.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add vegetables, noodles and thyme.
    Bring to a boil; simmer, uncovered, for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Serves 6.
