Bechamel Sauce(Yields 1 Cup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk, warmed
    1 small onion, studded with 3 cloves
    1 bay leaf
    salt to taste
    pinch of nutmeg
Preparation
    Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
    Add the flour and blend well for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Slowly stir in the warmed milk and add the onion and bay leaf.
    Cook and stir with a wooden spoon until sauce thickens and coats the back of spoon. Place in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes. Take out and strain; add salt and nutmeg.
