Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. flour
3 c. milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. coconut
Preparation

In saucepan, mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and flour.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook until thickens; boil 1 minute.
Remove, carefully stir in egg.
Blend in butter, vanilla and coconut. Cool; stir constantly.
Pour into pie shell.
Chill.
Top with meringue with toasted coconut.
