Grandma Stickney'S Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Warm milk.
    Beat eggs with sugar until thick and slowly pour warmed milk into the eggs.
    Add salt and nutmeg to taste.
    Pour into a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle generously with more nutmeg.
    Bake 1 hour, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
