Our Special Holiday Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fresh pineapple
    6 lemons
    3 c. bar-type sugar
    1 qt. strong green tea
    1 bottle Cognac
    1 pt. light rum
    1 bottle peach or apricot brandy
    4 qt. champagne
    2 qt. sparkling soda water
    1 jar cherries
Preparation
    Core, peel and dice pineapple; slice lemons thin.
    Place in bowl.
    Add sugar and Cognac; let stand overnight.
    Four hours before serving, add tea, rum and brandy; pour over block of ice in punch bowl.
    Before serving, pour in champagne and sparkling water.
    Add cherries.
    Stir gently and serve.
    Serves about 45 people.
