Mexican Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. oleo
    3 c. (12 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    16 oz. sour cream
    2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt (or for you beginners just use 3 cups self-rising flour and leave out the other 3 ingredients).
    Cut in oleo with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
    Add sour cream, Cheddar cheese and peppers, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead 3 or 4 times.
    Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 4-inch round cutter.
    Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen.
