Curry-Flavored Stew(Serves 4 To 6) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium size potatoes, pared
1/2 lb. beef or lamb
4 medium size onions, peeled
1/2 c. cooking fat
1 Tbsp. tomato paste or catsup
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. curry powder
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
6 c. hot cooked rice or wheat pilaf
Preparation

Cut potatoes, meat and onions into bite-sized pieces.
Place in 2-quart kettle.
Add fat.
Pour in water to almost cover. Boil gently about 20 minutes. Stir in tomato paste or catsup, salt, curry powder and lemon juice.
Cook over high heat about 20 minutes.
Reduce heat and continue cooking about 1 hour.
Serve with hot rice or pilaf.
