Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1 onion, chopped fine
2 Tbsp. baking powder

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonful into hot oil and brown.
Drain on paper towel.
