Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box pudding and pie filling (may use lemon or vanilla)
    1 large can chunk pineapple
    1 small can maraschino cherries
    4 chopped bananas
    1 can mandarin oranges
Preparation
    Drain fruit, reserving 1 cup of juice.
    Combine with pudding mix.
    Cook until clear; cool.
    Add fruit.
    While preparing, I rinse banana chunks with lemon juice to keep them from turning dark.
