Creamy Coleslaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage, shredded
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    3/4 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. grated carrots
    1/2 c. diced green pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Place shredded cabbage in a very large bowl; sprinkle with sugar.
    Toss just until mixed.
    Cover.
    Chill 30 minutes.
