Rich Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sq. bitter chocolate
    1 c. light cream
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. broken pecans
Preparation
    Combine chocolate and cream and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
    Add sugar and salt; stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils.
    Cook without stirring until small amount of mixture forms a soft ball in cold water (236\u00b0).
    Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla without stirring.
    Cool to lukewarm (110\u00b0), then beat until creamy.
    Add nuts and turn at once into buttered pan.
    When firm, cut into squares.
