Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
7 whole eggs
5 egg yolks
3/4 c. sugar
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
Preparation

Dissolve 3/4 cup sugar in water in a 9-inch round (deep 3 1/2 inch) metal pan.
Bring mixture to a boil to make caramel sauce. As soon as mixture turns a caramel color, remove it from heat and rotate pan to cover all the inside of pan.
Let it stand to cool. In another pan mix egg yolks, milk, sugar and vanilla.
Strain into caramelized pan.
Place pan in a hot water pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour.
Cool.
Refrigerate until the next day.
