Corn Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow or white cornmeal
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 egg
    1/4 c. liquid shortening
Preparation
    Blend liquid ingredients into dry ingredients.
    Do not overmix (takes about 1 minute).
    Bake in greased muffin pan at 425\u00b0 for about 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 8 large or 12 small muffins.
