Vinegar Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 beets (I use can beets)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch well.
    Add vinegar and mix.
    Put on stove in heavy pan and boil 5 minutes.
    Pour over cubed beets and add 1 tablespoon butter.
    Let stand on back of stove 1/2 hour before serving.
