Holiday Chocolate Covered Cherries - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (10 oz) maraschino cherries, with stems
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tbsp. evaporated milk
2 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 pkg. confectioners sugar
milk chocolate bark
Preparation

Drain the cherries well and pat dry.
Combine the butter, evaporated milk and vanilla in a mixing bowl and beat until blended.
Add confectioners sugar and mix until smooth.
Divide mixture into small portions and spread around each cherry, enclosing completely.
Place on waxed paper covered trays and chill until firm.
Melt the chocolate over hot water.
Dip each covered cherry in the chocolate to cover completely while holding stem.
Place on waxed paper.
Let stand until chocolate is firm. Store in an airtight container.
Yield: 20-25 cherries.
