Texas Hash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. rice
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Saute beef, onion, green pepper and garlic until onion is tender. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes until rice is tender.
