1/2 lb. pecan pieces
3 c. black walnuts
1/2 c. apple juice
3 c. sifted, unbleached flour
2 c. thick applesauce
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
6 eggs
1/4 c. light molasses
2 c. chopped dates
1 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
candied cherries (to decorate)
pecan halves (to decorate)
Preparation

Line a greased 10-inch tube pan with aluminum foil; grease foil well.
