Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    4 eggs
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    juice of 1 large orange
    1 c. vegetable oil
    5 large apples
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    5 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix sugar, eggs and vegetable oil. Add flour, baking powder and orange juice. Have apples peeled and sliced. Sprinkle them with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon that has been mixed with 5 tablespoons sugar. Put half the cake mixture into a greased and floured tube pan. Cover with half of the apple mixture. Add the rest of the batter and top with remaining apple slices. Chopped walnuts may be sprinkled on top, if desired. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 3/4 hours or until done.
