Basic Waffle Recipe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 stiffly beaten egg whites
3 beaten egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
7 Tbsp. melted shortening or cooking oil
Preparation

Heat waffle baker.
Sift together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Combine egg yolks and milk; stir into dry ingredients.
Stir in cooking oil.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Carefully fold in egg whites, leaving a few little fluffs.
Do not overmix.
Bake in preheated waffle baker until golden brown.
