Sweet Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour (self-rising)
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. shortening
cracklins (optional)
Preparation

Mix. Pour into greased iron skillet.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Test middle by piercing with butter knife.
If knife comes up clean, the corn bread is done.
