"A Good Jambalaya" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 onions, chopped
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1 pt. tomatoes
    1/2 c. tomato paste
    4 cloves garlic
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1/4 green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    3 cloves, crushed
    1 lb. ham, chopped
    2 lb. cooked shrimp
    3 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter in large saucepan for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and
    tomato
    paste.
    Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add
    garlic, vegetables and seasonings.
    Cook for 30 minutes; stir
    frequently.\tAdd ham and shrimp.
    Cook for 5 minutes.
    Stir in\trice.
    Season
    to
    taste.
    Simmer
    for\t30 minutes; stir frequently.
    Yields 8 servings.
