Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 or 5 medium potatoes
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    1 c. Cheddar cheese (sharp)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Boil unpeeled potatoes in unsalted water until tender.
    Allow potatoes to cool; then peel and grate on coarse side of grater. Grate cheese.
    In a greased 2-quart baking dish, layer 1/2 of the potatoes and onion with salt and pepper.
    Repeat layers using remaining potatoes and onion.
    Sprinkle cheese over top and pour cream over all as evenly as possible.
    Cover with foil and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
