Country Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. round steak
2 Tbsp. melted margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. flour
1 large onion
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. steak sauce
1 Tbsp. Crisco
Preparation

Pound meat on wooden board with meat hammer; cut into servings.
Sprinkle with flour on both sides.
Brown meat on both sides in 1 tablespoon margarine and 1 tablespoon Crisco.
Sprinkle with onion, chopped fine.
Add pepper and salt.
Add water.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until tender.
Add more water, if necessary.
Yields 4 large servings.
