Pork Creole And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. boneless pork, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce (low salt)
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. basil or 1 or 2 leaves
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 medium onion, sliced
Preparation
    In large pan, brown meat in hot oil.
    Drain.
    Add remaining ingredients; stir to combine.
    Bring mixture to a boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 30 minutes or until rice is cooked and meat is tender.
    Serve with green salad and rolls.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
