Piccalilli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    3 large onions
    2 sweet red peppers
    3/8 c. salt
    2 lb. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. whole pickling spice
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    3/4 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash and slice green tomatoes.\tAdd onions, red peppers and salt.
    Let stand overnight.
    Drain juices and chop through a meat grinder.
    Add
    2
    pounds
    brown
    sugar.
    Tie mixture of spices in bag.
    Cook\tspice
    bag in piccalilli with 3/4 quarts vinegar for 1 hour.
    Seal while hot.
