Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 qt. unsalted popcorn
2 c. corn syrup (dark corn syrup or maple)
1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Place popcorn in a large bowl and set aside.
Grease 2 large forks and set aside.
Combine syrup, vinegar and salt in a deep pot.
(Pot must be deep because the syrup boils up and will overflow if not large enough.)
Bring to a boil over medium heat until it reaches hard ball.
Add vanilla.
Mix well.
Pour over popcorn and toss to coat with the greased forks.
Butter hands liberally and form into balls.
Press lightly to make them stick together.
Continue forming balls, rebuttering your hands after each,
until all the corn is used.
Makes about 1 dozen.
