Rhubarb Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cut-up rhubarb
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. oleo
Preparation
    Mix together until crumbly.
    Pat 3/4 of it into 9 x 13-inch pan.
