Banana-Chip Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. butter or margarine (3 sticks), softened
1 1/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed (1 1/2 c.)
1 (8 oz.) container plain nonfat yogurt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. miniature chocolate chips, divided
