Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. raisins
1 c. nuts
1 lb. fruit flavored gumdrops

Preparation

Cut gumdrops into fine pieces.
Do not use black gumdrops. Mix gumdrops, raisins and nuts; lightly flour and set aside.
