Whipped Potatoes And Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. potatoes, pared, cut in 1-inch chunks
    1 lb. carrots, peeled, cut in 1-inch chunks
    1 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. hot milk
    grated fresh carrots (for garnish)
Preparation
    Rinse potatoes and carrots; place in saucepan with lid.
    Cover with water, add salt.
    Cover. Heat to simmering, cook about 20 minutes or until tender, drain.
    Place potatoes and carrots into a large mixing bowl.
    While whipping slowly, add butter, pepper, nutmeg and hot milk.
    Whip until light and fluffy.
    Garnish with grated carrots.
    Serves 4.
